The University of Hertfordshire offers a high-performance environment for men’s basketball, with the 1st team competing in the BUCS Premier South division – the top tier of university basketball in the UK. The program supports student-athletes through access to professional coaching, strength & conditioning, performance analysis, physiotherapy, and academic flexibility. Athletes train multiple times per week and benefit from partnership links with NBL Division 1 professional outlet, Hemel Storm, providing additional development and competitive opportunities to our athletes.

Basketball is offered at the performance program level only at the University of Hertfordshire.
Scholarship Information
Scholarships are available to our athletes, with recipients receiving benefits such as access to performance services, accommodation support and financial awards to assist with training, competition, and living costs. Eligibility is assessed individually, focusing on athletes competing at the highest level of their sport. Scholarships are awarded annually and are reviewed based on performance and progression.
